EarProg categorizes all chord progressions into three main groups.

• Standard: This category comprises commonly used chord progressions in pop-rock music spanning the past 75 years. These fundamental movements consist of 2-3 chords and serve as the building blocks for more intricate compositions. The examples are centered around the key of C major.
